Beeman is right. Use the grade 2 bolt and it will shear. Use the grade 6 if you need to but it will not shear as easy. Put a Grede 8 bolt in and never have to worry about it shearing at all. It was a grade 2 bolt with a groove cut in it .060 deep, located where the shaft and sprocket met, which would be the spot with the most stress.
