WebAug 17, 2024 · The main inboard flaps are nearing the final design and prototyping stage. This is the 4th of the 3D printed prototypes for the 1:20 scale L-1011 RC airliner. Trying to match the look and mechanical movement of the real plane, while making it functional at this size has been a real challenge. WebFor a 90 or 100 model, put the flaps down and stand at the trailing edge of any flap. For a 200, 300 or 350, choose either outboard flap. Forget inboard versus outboard and left wing versus right wing. Just look at the flap from the trailing edge. A flashlight may be helpful. There’s a flap track on each side, coming out of the wing structure.
