Webb11 juli 2011 · A young girl visiting from out of town was recently bitten by what was believed to be a shark at North Topsail Beach. The town manager said she was standing in shallow water when she felt something nip at her ankle. Medical personnel recovered a tooth out of the girl's ankle, lending to the belief it was a shark bite. WebbNags Head has several life guard stands at the beach, find one close to your rental and just talk to the lifeguards. The shark attacks were not close to nags head, Avon and rodanthe are on Hatteras, and Oak Isle and Ocean Island are far down the coast. Do come and do take reasonable precautions and be aware of your surroundings.
